Uefa has told Fifa it must release key documents relating to its governance and decision-making by a deadline of 2 November.
At the Fifa Council on Thursday, president Gianni Infantino apologised for his World Cup sell-off plan but failed to release documents relating to the proposal. Infantino has been Fifa president since 2016 and is standing for re-election for a third time.
Uefa letter criticises Fifa response
In a letter seen by journalists, Uefa general secretary Theodore Theodoridis said world football’s governing body had failed to address “a number of fundamental questions”.
“Any refusal to disclose information or documents should be justified individually, with a clear explanation of the specific grounds relied upon,” the letter added.
Eight-page document sets out concerns
Uefa also sent an eight-page document outlining a number of concerns. They range from the Fifa Forward Enterprise private investment proposal, to the Fifa Peace Prize, to Folarin Balogun’s suspended ban.
